So apparently there was an earthquake measuring about a 6 on the Richter scale.
To be honest, I didn't notice it. Which just means I'll have a quick, unnoticed by me death when the Big One hits.

I'm going to guess that's because you weren't very near the epicentre

Right. It was about a two hour drive away from here, I believe. Still, 6.0 is pretty big and some people around here apparently did feel it.
