I ate Kudu for dinner today. I hope it's not endangered... and no, it wasn't for a special reason. It's just what they were serving at the Google cafeteria.

There's a company-wide meeting I don't get to go to. If *ONLY* I knew what it was about.

Vh1's "I Love The Eighties" + iTunes = downloading "The Joshua Tree".
On another note, if you use Blogger and want a GMail account, go to the Blogger main page. Trust me.

Canada.com seems to be blocking anything coming from gmail. So if you know me and have a Canada.com e-mail address... you probably never told me your e-mail address.
Jerk.

An hour ago I awoke to an unfamiliar noise, a kind of soft pitter-patter unfamilar to me. I look out the window and lo and behold, it's raining.
I forgot what rain sounds like.
It has, of course, stopped, and it looks like sunny and blue skies for the rest of the day.

Oh, and for Raymond, I should mention that the weather here was absolutely atrocious here today. For a few hours it was almost overcast. The HORROR!
My iPod is sitting on my desk, but I'm afraid to open the package since I don't want some crazy Chinese flu; similar to what happened on an episode of The Simpsons.

JCN Japan Corporate News Network - TOPPAN and Sony Successfully Develop 25GB Paper Disc - oh man, it's a hard drive you can crumple up or make an airplane out of, that is so cool.
Especially if your storing data you need destroyed. "Oh crap! The feds are coming!"
"Don't worry, Phil, get the hard drive and put it through the paper shredder!"
"But what about my porn?"
"You shouldn't be doing that at work, it serves you right."

Post is gone 'cause I decided I didn't want random solicitations from strangers. Sorry, Tom.

City of Heroes promises you'll be in beta on or before April 7th if you preordered, I preordered City of Heroes, thus logically I am in the beta. Whether I actually am or not is another question entirely, which I will neither confirm nor deny. On that note...
I am currently experiencing fun fun problems with my Radeon 9600 Mobility graphics card in one of my games - and alas, ATI doesn't make Mobility drivers, you have to depend on the computer manufacturer; in my case, Gateway. And since I have the latest Gateway drivers and they don't work, I may be forced to try non-offical drivers - Omega drivers, which, according to the forum for the game, work pretty well. If things go badly, I'll be sure to post about it tomorrow.

So I ordered something from Amazon, chose super-saving shipping for free shipping and... they're sending it UPS, who cocked up shipping my computer almost a month ago. I'm not happy to place anything in the hands of UPS ever again, thus I am unhappy.
Let's here it for the always reliable US Postal Service.

Buffy searched for "evil" on the internet by typing it into a search engine, so I did too...
How evil are you?
And now I'm gone for the night. Later, gator.

Speaking of Orkut, it's a lot like Friendster, only it may somehow help to pay my salary in some way I can not fathom. I've been lax in inviting new people; but if you're already on there, add me. If you want to be on there, tell me.
New e-mail address: contact me at markcook@gmail.com
This just furthers along my status as a Google minion. But Google isn't infalliable; my Orkut profile's fortune for today is "You are next in line for promotion in your firm." which, if accurate, makes me feel sorry for all the full time people here who will, you know, still be working for Google in May. Although I should be back in September...
