Because Sana'a demanded it: the Beast:
A Gateway M675X, one year old.

Weighs about 10 pounds. P4 3GHz with hyperthreading. 512 Megs of system RAM. ATI 9600 Mobile with 32 Megs RAM video card. DVD-R/CDRW drive. 17 inch widescreen display. I'll be doing a wipe and reinstalling Windows XP. Comes with the original software, but not the box or anything. The minimum bid on eBay will be $1000, not sure if that'll be Canadian or American dollars yet.

Selling it to someone around Waterloo would be much easier. But yeah. Offer. Make me.

Impulse control of a 3-year-old. With ADD.

Seriously.

PS. The Beast - my overpowered, "old" laptop - will be up on eBay by the end of next week. If you want it, make me an offer ASAP.

I like this picture that Sana'a's got. Um. Thassall.

Mentally dull. Did my US taxes. The refund is perfectly fine, but IRS paperwork has robbed me of my desire to do anything. C&O? No. CS? No. TV? Nuh-uh. Not even World of WarCraft - I tried and ended up doing little more than stand around. Blargh. Make work be done now...

From Sana'a's rants (or whatever they are):
You scored as agnosticism. You are an agnostic. Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. Agnostics don't believe it is possible to prove the existence of God (nor lack thereof).

Agnosticism is a philosophy that God's existence cannot be proven. Some say it is possible to be agnostic and follow a religion; however, one cannot be a devout believer if he or she does not truly believe.

I ache.

Campus day was today, when all the high school kids - who hadn't even started high school when I got here - came to see the school. I signed up to be a tour guide, and was given a time slot from 1 to 2:30. Alas, there were very few people seeking tours at that point, so I switched over into clean-up. So instead of giving tours to impressionable youngsters, I stacked tables and chairs. While I appeared to be the strongest one doing this, the experience, combined with the hauling of the "new" computer (not the iBook; a post about it will come from it once I get around to installing a new web browser on the damn thing) has convinced me that I need to start going to the gym - I would be quite pleased if moderate lifting didn't quite make me so sore.

But in the meantime, I ache.

Uploaded a crapload of pictures to flickr. One from Grand Bend trips a couple of years back will be coming in about a month, since I think they're only on my computer at home and not here (DAMMIT! I WAS JUST THERE WITH MY USB KEY! edit: Nevermind; found 'em.). But here are the ones from the past year. Puppies and trips, mostly. A few miscellaneous ones, but not many. I need to carry my camera around more to take random pictures.

This is horribly unfair. Be Cool is funny. Get Shorty pops more, but its sequel is funnier - Andre 3000 of Outkast as Dabu really impressed me, even more than the Rock as a gay Samoan boydguard with aspirations of being an actor. The Rock, after all, hasn't REALLY made a BAD movie (he's made MEDIOCRE movies, but not all-out horrible movies), and is a known quantity at this point. But Andre 3000 is a rapper with no real acting experience prior to this, as his imdb profile bears out (Hollywood Homicide? That doesn't count). And it's funny, Uma Thurman looks amazing, and John Travolta's Chili Palmer is still... well, cool.

Get Shorty is a better movie. Be Cool was still great.

Lloyd Axworthy, always my favorite member of Chretien's caucus, writes an open letter to Condoleezza Rice. It contains a lot of points that the people making American foreign policy should at least consider before attempting to force their policies on other countries.

Gran Turismo 4 is in the hizzouse. Ernie wants to have my man-babies; but Zach and James bemoan its realism and would rather go back to Burnout 3, which I introduced them to on Friday. (Curtis seems indifferent.) Hey, not only can you crash cars up real good in Burnout 3, that's the goddamn POINT. I can't fault them for enjoying it, it's a lot of fun. And it's loads of fun while drinking. Meanwhile, Gran Turismo 4 is a bitch. But it looks beautiful, and the enjoyment comes from learning how to push its buttons in the way it likes.

Yes, I kinda equated it to a woman. I need to get laid.
